ART GOALS

 

      The students will:

 

  1. show appreciation for nonverbal abstract visual information in God’s creation. (Content: Elements of Art )

 

  1. show courtesy during classroom discussions, and project and clean-up times.       (Content: Catholic Values, Art Tools and Equipment)

 

  1. arrange nonverbal abstract visual information and solve problems to express themselves.

  1. show craftsmanship with both traditional and new media with processes of drawing, painting, sculpting, crafts, and graphics.

  1. show knowledge of the master artists and the content, context, and function of art masterpieces.    (Content: Art History, Art of Other Cultures)

 

  1. use an enriched vocabulary for describing, decoding, responding to and evaluating the content, context and function of artwork. (Content: Art Terminology, Art Analysis Skills, and Arts in Our Culture )

 

  1. show appreciation for the contributions of other artists and respect for the dignity of all peoples of God’s family. (Content: Art of Other Cultures, Catholic Values)
