Religion: Your child will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Monday, November 17 at 9:00 a.m. Please keep him/her in your prayers that morning.
The week of
November 17 is Food for a Day Week. Your child has worked in a
group to prepare a menu for a meal. He/she knows what she/he
has agreed to bring. We have asked the fourth graders to earn
money, go to the store, and see how many things they can buy
with the money they have earned. They will share their
experience with the class. Please be sure to ask your child
what he/she is supposed to bring. All items must be here by
Friday, November 21. Thanks so much for your cooperation.
Social Studies:
We are studying the history of Missouri.
We recently studied the Preamble. Here are some
drawings of that we made of it. Math:
Our last
multiplication Mad Minute will be given on Wednesday. If your
child has not consistently scored 28 or above on his/her Mad
Minute, please be sure that she/he is studying her/his facts at
least 5 minutes a day. We will begin a chapter on division on
Thursday. Our first division Mad Minute will be given the week
after Thanksgiving. Fourth grade level multiplication and
division problems are especially difficult and time consuming if
math facts are not easily recalled.
