Where in the World? Update: We now have 19 postcards! Fridays are fun because we get to find out the current answers and reveal the questions for the upcoming week. The students are really beginning to hone their research skills by picking out searchable clues from the questions. Please thank your friends, family and/or co-workers for us and keep 'em coming!

MATH

We are working with decimals and some students are researching their favorite baseball team and finding out team history, batting averages, and certain players batting averages.

SCIENCE

We are finding out the mass needed to sink a straw. We are also making our own labs about one of these questions:

  • Does sight affect opinion on taste?

  • Which egg has the hardest shell: brown or white?

  • Which toothpaste whitens best on eggshells boiled in coffee?

  • How does fat content affect the rate of chocolate ice cream melting?
